Insidious Chapter 2 is supernatural horror at its best. A nerve-shredding sequel to the box office smash hit Insidious. Renowned director James Wan and the Blumhouse family prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that scares should be a mixture of great characterisation and suspense. Yes you read it correctly, I Saw The Devil is set for a remake, So after recent remakes and massive flops that were Carrie and OldBoy it seems that Hollywood has learnt nothing. In my opinion I Saw The Devil is one of the best Asian films EVER made. If you've not seen it I strongly advise you do. Don;t wait for Hollywood to fuck it up and see that one 1st just watch the Korean original. I personally am very bored with Hollywood all it seems to be is Marvel movies, Lord of the rings movies, Transformer movies.Yawn. But they shall continue no doubt especially with the latest Hunger Games movie making well over $600 million dollars! Ah well, rant over!

For the past five years, Choi Bo-na (Lee Si-young) has been overworked and underpaid as a second assistant director for TV commercials. Sorely lacking social skills, self-confidence, fashion sense, and aesthetic polish, she is casually disregarded by her work colleagues and knows that her career is going nowhere but can't do anything about it. One night she hits rock bottom. Stranded on a beach in the middle of nowhere after a grueling outdoor shoot, she comes across an eccentric middle-aged man selling inspirational videos. He urges her to buy his masterwork, "A Manual on How to Use Men," telling her that it will change her life, and give her the skills she needs to find success and happiness. She doesn't believe him for a second, but she buys the video. After reluctantly following the step-by-step instructions, Bo-na's life takes a drastic turn. She begins to experience professional success and men suddenly start flocking to her, including top star Lee Seung-jae (Oh Jung-se) who initially treated Bo-na with disdain, but later falls head over heels in love with her.

Disney Takes Over ‘Indiana Jones’ Franchise

Yes it’s true, Disney now hold the rights to The Indiana Jones Franchise. But the deal struck see’s paramount keep hold of the rights for the four previous movies. So it seems that George Lucas’s retirement fund will like his neck expand even bigger! Since the news was announced last night there has of course been a huge fan backlash but did any of them see the last movie?? You have to surely admit that it was truly dreadful, CGI monkeys, Aliens, Unfunny references to the last few films, So as with Disney now owning Star Wars and Marvel who knows what the next movie or probably ten will turn out like, Harrison Ford as pretty much made the role his as such an iconic cinematic figure so will they replace him??So get ready to see Indy's whip cracking at you in 3D or they may just make a Lego Indian Jones movie! I guess only time shall tell.
Jonny T.

This from VARIETY magazine.

“The Walt Disney Studios and Paramount Pictures have reached a distribution and marketing agreement for the Indiana Jones franchise.
Under the arrangement, Disney gains distribution and marketing rights to future films, in addition to retaining the ownership rights it secured when it acquired Lucasfilm.

Paramount will continue to be responsible for distribution of the first four films in the franchise and will receive a financial participation on any future films that are produced and released.
Disney also had to buy the rights from Paramount to market and release “The Avengers” and “Iron Man 3,” which earned Paramount a considerable sum in return.

Disney has not officially announced that a fifth “Indiana Jones” film is in the works.
While promoting his Relativity film “Paranoia” in August, Harrison Ford expressed interest at another crack at the whip but, as of right now, no writers have been hired to write a script.

Sources say that Steven Spielberg, who directed the previous films, would still be interested in helming future pics but, like with the other installments, a story would first need to be hashed out before Spielberg would ever commit. Insiders also added that while George Lucas has sold his stake in Lucasfilm to Disney, he still may have a part in developing the story like he and Spielberg had done in the past.

That said, Disney will likely move quickly to get a film in motion, given Disney’s desire to monetize its $4 billion acquisition of Lucasfilm.

The last installment, “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull,” grossed $783 million worldwide. The entire franchise has earned $1.9 billion.”

The thrilling and hilarious action romp "The Bounty" arrives on DVD this January!

 The Bounty
On DVD from Monday 6th Jan. 2014

The writer of crossover hit “Shaolin Soccer” brings us a rumbustious roundhouse kick to the senses with “The Bounty”. Prepare to be dazzled by this visually stunning Hong Kong action-comedy.

Fung Chih Chiang, Writer-Director (Shaolin Soccer)

Chapman To (Infernal Affairs; Initial D)

Alex Man (As Tears Go By)

Fiona Sit (2 Young; Break Up Club)

Incompetent bounty hunter Cho is given a chance to land a big score from the police if he can catch a most-wanted fugitive criminal. His excursion takes him to a small island in which he finds himself stuck at the bizarre “Lazy Inn” inhabited by an imaginative yet unstable maid, her awkward father and a cowardly coconut man…

Cho is thrown into a comedy of errors, in which misunderstandings run as much riot as the local triads. He’s not only looking for answers, he’s looking to escape. He’s having to fight the local gangs and get to grips with the people looking after him in this rollercoaster ride of laughs, action and drama!

We feel that Writer/Director Fung Chih Chiang takes no time reminding us of why his debut “Shaolin Soccer” made such a splash here in the West. He continues to excel in a unique style of storytelling that harks back to the likes of “The Three Stooges”. With Jackie Chan focusing on more dramatic projects, the likes of Chapman To can fill his boots easily with his warm brand of humour. Comedies like this are becoming harder to find, so it’s great to see someone holding the torch for this slapstick style. “The Bounty” is genuinely one of the most imaginative, energetic and truly laugh out loud action-comedies and a true original that needs to be seen to be believed!
